Benso organic olive oil is a premium, first cold-pressed olive oil obtained solely through mechanical means. It is made from Leccino olives (a Tuscan variety) which impart notes of cooked artichoke, almond, and hazelnut.
Like wine, olive oil is sensitive to the climate. Consequently, it develops different flavor profiles each year. This year, this organic oil releases aromas of cooked artichoke and an aftertaste of almond; all with very little bitterness.
Benso organic olive oil has an acidity level of 0.38; it never exceeds 0.5.
